UN Chief praises NZ's action on climate change

The Chief of the United Nations has praised NZ Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern for leading the fight against climate change. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres met with the Prime Minister as part of a three day trip to New Zealand. His visit comes just days after the government unveiled its Zero Carbon Act, which aims to reduce all greenhouse gasses, with the exclusion of biogenic methane, to net zero by 2050. The Secretary-General has been touring the Pacific to see the impact of climate change on the region and will also visit Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Fiji. Read More Our Apps
