Timaru Boys High School remain winless in the UC Championship after five games following an indifferent performance against St Thomas College. Timaru Boys went down 22-7 in Christchurch as they failed to make tackles at crucial times. While championship leaders St Andrews College beat Roncalli Aoraki Combined 36-0, with the combined side showing plenty of pluck. Christs College beat Christchurch Boys High School 28-27 in a thriller to hold on to second place, a point behind St Andrews. To their credit Timaru Boys have collected five bonus points along the way so sit ahead of Roncalli-Aoraki Combined on the table, who have notched up their first win. Timaru Boys play St Andrews on Tuesday in Christchurch in their traditional interschool fixture. Roncalli-Aoraki host Mid Canterbury Combined on Saturday and will be a good chance of notching up their second win of the season.
